BOB BROWN PUPPET'S wonderfully wacky version of Prokofiev's "Cinderella" eliminates
the evil Stepmother and introduces Humphrey, Prince Arnold's adorable
stray puppy.
The two bickering Stepsisters are presented as insufferably selfish
and comically foolish, rather than sinister.
Cinderella's transformation from waif to Belle-of-the-Ball takes place in
an enchanted pumpkin patch, accomplished with the help of her
highly unorthodox Fairy Godmother.
The story is told by a narrator, and scene changes are accomplished
as part of the action as the pages of an enormous storybook turn
to reveal the next scene
